Sue & Dave Case Study 3

In the third update Sue & Dave have been asked to pop into Parslows for a completion meeting at 8 Hill Street, on the fifth floor.  Mel suggested the lift.   It has been just under 4 weeks since the couple instructed Parslows.

“I am pleased to say that we have completed our legal work on your new property and have also received the loan documentation.  We have checked the draft contract, run title checks and popped down to the property to check the boundaries.  What a lovely home, I am sure you will be very happy there and how close it is to the school (and the pub)”.

Mel went on to explain the contract of purchase, the conclusions reached from the title check and that the boundaries to the property were all fine. She then took them through the seller’s questionnaire replies, and finally explained and got them to sign the mortgage security documents.

“So, the next stage will be that we will submit the loan security documents back to the lenders lawyers.  In the meantime, we will confirm with the seller lawyers that you want to complete the contract for this Friday.    If you pop into the office at say 2 o’clock.  Make sure you wear smart clothes, Dave unfortunately that does mean wearing a tie, albeit if you forget, I am sure we have one we can lend you in the office”.

Friday came quickly for Sue & Dave, to say they were excited was an understatement.  Anyway, they were met by Mel at Parslows office.  Mel one again explained the process and then off they went to pass contract in the Royal Court.

“I cannot believe we are now owners of a property, a massive thank you Mel.  Yes please, a glass of wine would be lovely.  From start to finish your service has been excellent.  Dave and I were really worried that the process would be really stressful but you, your team and the online platform has made it a really great experience and we haven’t been too stressed, apart from perhaps when our name was called in the Royal Court. I nearly put my wrong hand up.  Oh, thank you for the keys”.

Sue & Dave left the Cock and Bottle sometime later, and we believe they went straight up their new home, Mel went back to work.  She and her team needed to continue with the work for next week; More clients would be attending the Royal Court to purchase their new home, courtesy of Parslows residential property team.

Anyway it is now present day, and we are pleased to report that Sue & Dave bought their new home in the nick of time.  The second bedroom will definitely be needed within the next 7 or so months.
