Overview
Barbara is head of the Family Law Department at Parslows LLP and an experienced English Solicitor who specialises exclusively in family law. Working closely with Partner Natalie Jenner, who has overall responsibility for the Family Law Department at partner level, Barbara manages the day-to-day operation of the team and provides expert guidance across all areas of family law.
She has more than ten years’ experience advising on a broad range of family matters, with particular expertise in complex and high-value financial disputes arising from divorce and separation. Barbara regularly assists clients whose matters involve business assets, trusts, investment portfolios, property holdings and cross-jurisdictional issues. She also has specialist experience in Schedule 1 Children’s Law applications, securing financial provision for unmarried parents.
Clients value Barbara’s calm, measured and practical approach, as well as her ability to balance firm and strategic advice with empathy during what are often highly sensitive and emotional situations.

Her family law practice includes advising on:
- Financial matters arising from divorce and separation, including high-value and complex cases
- Business and partnership interests and investment assets
- Property and asset division, spousal maintenance and financial provision
- Schedule 1 (Children’s Law) applications for unmarried parents
- Private law children matters, including residence, contact and parental responsibility
- Cohabitation issues, separation agreements and non-matrimonial financial disputes

Background
Before joining Parslows LLP, Barbara worked within the family and litigation teams of two other Jersey law firms, gaining broad experience across complex financial and children’s matters. She brings this depth of specialist knowledge, along with a calm, client-focused leadership style, to her role at Parslows LLP and contributes to delivering a strong and accessible family law service.
