I am a partner at Parslows Jersey and my main area of practice is in family law, specialising in divorce, ancillaries, matters concerning children, probate law and Wills & Succession matters and I have over 11 years’ experience in such matters.
I advise on all areas of family law including divorce, separation, dissolution of civil partnerships, as well as advising on finances, including high net worth matters. I also have additional experience in advising clients in relation to a number of complicated private law children issues relating to residence, contact, parental responsibility and non-removal for the jurisdiction.
I am also head of the Probate team and I deal with the administration of deceased’s estates for local and non-local clients, as well as assist individuals with the probate process in Jersey.
I head up our Jersey Business legal services department and am a Jersey Notary Public.
The Jersey Local Business department works across a number of legal areas, such as advising on business formations and on commercial contracts, as well as on commercial leases, employment law or HR issues. In fact, my team and I can assist in practically any area of law that a Jersey business requires legal assistance.
I head up our litigation law offering and am involved in all areas of the firm’s work that involve advice on the resolution of contentious issues and claims, including the defence of criminal prosecutions and family law applications. I regularly represent clients before the Courts and Tribunals of the Island of Jersey in regard to such issues. In addition, I am a specialist in employment law, particularly restraint of trade.
I head up our Personal Injury & Criminal Law department. My main areas of practice are in personal injury, criminal law and contentious probate matters. I have gained thirty years’ experience within the finance and legal industry and have been practicing as a Jersey Advocate for 5 years.
I have worked within the legal service industry for many years and have been specifically involved in Property work for in excess of 20 years within some of the larger practices. I have a wide range of experience in residential work across the board, ranging from stand-alone properties to the complex developments and deals with First Time Buyers and seasoned property owners alike. As such, I am well versed in the process and the issues that can arise and am focused on providing an efficient, client friendly, approachable and comprehensive service for our clients.
I have lived in Jersey since my teens and raised two sons here. In addition to property work I have experience working in the Court services and in Family work and general private client work and consider myself to have good experience with people across a wide range of situations.
I am a legal assistant within the family law and litigation department. I studied law at the University of Liverpool where I obtained a 1st in my degree, graduating in July 2016. I have worked predominantly in family law over the last two years. I provide legal advice on divorce and ancillaries, with a particular focus on private children law matters.
More recently, having joined Parslows Jersey in March 2018, I have developed my areas of expertise to also include litigation, primarily working on matters concerning personal injury.
In the near future I hope to undertake my Jersey law exams with Parslows Jersey to qualify as a Jersey Solicitor, and a Jersey Advocate thereafter.
I predominately work with Parslows International. I specialise in Corporate, Commercial, M&A and Cross-Border legal services. I have nearly 20 years’ experience and frequently provide Parslows Jersey business clients with expert corporate and commercial legal advice.
