Head of Litigation | Civil disputes, Personal Injury & Criminal Law
I head up our Litigation department. My main areas of practice are civil dpsiutes, personal injury, criminal law, contentious employment law issues and contentious probate matters. I have gained thirty years’ experience within the finance and legal industry.
I was born in Jersey and educated to secondary level at Beaulieu Convent School.
I qualified as an Associate of the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators (ICSA) in 1996 and then went on to Exeter University in 1997 to gain two post graduate degrees in Law and Legal Practice.
I completed my Jersey Advocate exams with the Jersey Institute of Law and qualified as a Jersey Advocate in 2012.
I am an Associate member of ICSA and also a member of the Jersey Personal Injury Medicolegal Society.
What Inspired You To Get Into Law?
I had worked for many years on an international spectrum and very much enjoyed the challenge of this work across multi jurisdictions but my ultimate aim was to work for the local community. I had gained extensive legal knowledge in my time working in the finance industry and it was then that my interest in law really began.
What Is The Most Rewarding Aspect Of Your Role?
It is not just about being a lawyer for me, it’s about providing support to individuals and families who are going through some of the most difficult times in their lives. I like to work with people to provide them with the most beneficial outcome for them and to guide them through that process every step of the way.
What Do You Like About Working At Parslows Jersey?
Parslows Jersey is exactly the type of law firm I had envisaged working for when I became a lawyer. It offers Jersey people a friendly and relaxed environment in which to obtain the legal advice they require during all aspects of their lives.
What Do You Do Away From The Office?
I enjoy nothing more than being able to get outdoors and partake in my favourite past-time of rowing. I have been a member of the Jersey Rowing Club for some years now and have completed quite a few of the Sark to Jersey races as a member of a ladies fours team. If I am not outdoors, I am at the gym or in the swimming pool.
