How we are Managing the rapidly evolving coronavirus (COVID-19) situation

Parslows Update | COVID-19

Further update to our procedures for attending Parslows office

Although Parslows office is currently manned by a very small number of staff, we are severely restricting access and therefore our doors are locked. To gain entrance either for a meeting or to drop something off, please call our switchboard on 630530 in the first instance.  Those staff not in the office are working remotely so please rest assured that ongoing work is carrying on and we are available on email.

Please note that if we consider you are displaying any symptoms you will be refused access to the office. This is paramount to the safety of our staff.

Thank you for your support and understanding during a rapidly evolving situation.

At Parslows we recognise that the health and well-being of our valued clients and employees is our priority. As we learn more about the spread of the Coronavirus throughout the Channel Islands and the UK we want to be transparent about what we’re doing as a company to protect our customers and employees.

Client related new procedure

  • In accord with Government guidelines we have implemented new procedures for clients – please can you adhere to these if and when attending our office:
    • Please wash your hands on arrival – we have restrooms which can be accessed prior to entering our reception area and full signage is displayed
    • If you have a cough please don’t attend our office  – please call instead (we will do our best to answer your queries by telephone)

Passing contracts / attending Court

  • If you are passing a property contract in the Royal Court
    • We are offering free powers of attorney so that we can go for you (you are of course free to attend if you want).  The £60 stamp duty fee due is being waived by the  States of Jersey
    • If you decide to utilise the power of attorney option please call us and we will arrange for you to attend the office to sign up
  • If you are due to attend Court for whatever reason
    • At the time of writing the Courts are open – however please call us before attending our office / direct to court for up to date information
    • If you are experiencing any symptoms identified by government please call us so we can inform the Court

General

  • We are communicating all States of Jersey Coronavirus (COVID-19) health information updates and advice policy to all employees and continue to implement every precaution to limit the spread of this virus
  • All staff have been issued with hand sanitizing gel and disinfecting wipes for their personal work stations
  • Any staff member displaying symptoms will remain at home
  • We remain fully accessible by phone and email

We appreciate that people still have lives to lead but at the same time are keen to minimize contact due to the Coronavirus.

Thank you for your support and understanding during a rapidly evolving situation.
